Gloo AI Studio provides a powerful workflow for managing your content through the Data Engine. Upload content from multiple sources, then organize and edit metadata through the Content Library to make your data discoverable and AI-ready. This guide covers content management in Studio:
  1. Uploading Your Content: Ingest content from files, websites, YouTube, or feeds
  2. Managing Your Content: View, search, and edit metadata in the Content Library
Prerequisite: Before you can upload content, you must have at least one Publisher created in your organization. The Publisher can also be referred to as a tenant in Data Engine. For more information, see the Managing Your Organization guide.

Step 1: Uploading Your Content

After you have a publisher in your organization, you can begin adding content.
  1. Navigate to the Data Engine section from the main Studio sidebar.
  2. Click on Ingestion.
  3. Choose the ingestion method that best suits your needs. Studio offers four options:
    • Web Scraping: Enter a website URL or sitemap URL to ingest content from web pages
    • Files: Upload individual files or multiple files via drag-and-drop (supports various formats up to 1GB)
    • YouTube: Connect your YouTube channel(s) to automatically build a content library from your videos
    • Feeds: Follow RSS/Atom feeds for podcasts or blogs, or ONIX catalog URLs for books
Your content will be automatically processed and appear in the Content Library with a status indicator.

Step 2: Managing Your Content in the Content Library

Once your content is uploaded, manage it through the Content Library.
  1. From the Data Engine section, click on Content Library.
  2. You’ll see a table of all your content with columns for:
    • Item Title: The title of your content
    • File Name: The original filename
    • Type: Content type (e.g., article)
    • Status: Processing status (Successful or Pending)
    • Upload Date: When the content was added
    • Actions: Edit metadata
  3. To edit metadata for any item, click the edit icon in the Actions column.
  4. In the metadata editor, you can update:
    • Title: The main title as it appears in search results
    • Subtitle: Additional title information
    • Image URL: Link to a cover image or thumbnail
    • Source URL: Link to the original content source
    • Summary: Brief description for search results
    • Tags: Comma-separated keywords to improve searchability
  5. Click Save Changes to update the metadata.
Your content is now fully integrated into the Gloo AI ecosystem, ready to be discovered through search and utilized by AI assistants.
