As an Organization Admin, you are responsible for the core setup and administration of your Gloo AI environment. The “Manage Organizations” section of Studio is your central hub for these tasks. This guide covers the two primary actions you will take:
Managing Publishers: Creating, editing, and configuring the publishers within your organization.
Managing Users: Inviting team members and assigning them appropriate roles.
To get started, click on your user account in the bottom-left of the screen and select “Manage Organizations” from the menu.
Publishers are the distinct content entities within your organization. When you upload data, you will need to include a publisher. This allows the flexibility for you to manage the right of your organization by author or division. You must create at least one publisher before you can upload data with Data Engine.
From the “Manage Organizations” screen, click the “View Publishers” button for your organization, and then press the “Create New Publisher” button. This will open a modal with four sections to complete:
Basic: The Name of the publisher is required.
Logos: You can upload logos that will be securely stored and used in products like Gloo AI Chat.
Hierarchy: This field can be left blank, but it is used to denote a sub-publisher within a publisher.
DRM (Digital Rights Management): This is a critical step.
Checking “Aspen” allows your data to be used in Chat’s Sources.
Checking “Kalm” enables it to be used for Gloo AI’s LLM (large language model) training.
You can invite your team members to access Studio and grant them permissions to perform specific actions like uploading data, analyzing ingested data, and creating API credentials.
To invite a user, press the “Manage Users” button from the main organization management screen for your organization. Next, press the “Invite User” button. Fill out their email information and select the role they will receive.
The invited user will receive an email from no-reply@gloo.ai.
Pressing the link in the email will take them to the Sign In page.
Once they have signed in, they will see a message to accept the invitation to join the organization. After accepting, they will have access to Studio based on the role you assigned them.
