AGENTS.md, and Gloo Code reads that file as it is. The main task is moving your MCP servers from config.toml into Gloo Code’s JSON format.
What carries over automatically
Do once
1
Install and sign in
Follow Installation & Setup. Sign-in happens in your browser, and your organization needs a Gloo Code subscription with a seat for you.
2
Open your project
Run
gloocode in your project folder and trust the folder if Gloo Code asks (it asks once, when the folder has its own config). Your AGENTS.md is already in use.3
Copy your personal instructions
If you keep personal instructions in
~/.codex/AGENTS.md, copy them to Gloo Code’s global location.4
Convert your MCP servers
Move each
[mcp_servers.<name>] table into the mcp section of gloocode.json. See the example below, or the full recipe on Move your MCP servers.Convert config.toml to gloocode.json
Gloo Code keeps its settings ingloocode.json (comments are allowed), either globally in ~/.config/gloocode/gloocode.json or per project at the project root. MCP servers live under the mcp key.

gloocode mcp auth <name>.
